Crossing over: First from life to death, Now from death to life.

We had to only avoid one thing so that we can maintain our life, and fellowship with God. to avoid moving from life to death. Now we only have to do one thing so that we can get back our life and fellowship with God. to move from death to life.

When the Earth was first created and man kind put in the garden of Eden, the most beautiful place on this planet, only one rule was given to him.
Of all fruits in the garden, he would eat except the forbidden fruit in the middle of the garden. He could eat and do whatever he wanted but not eat that one fruit.
This fruit more than just a fruit. It was a symbol of man freely and by choice deciding to submit to God and letting Him be ruler over his life. It was less about the fruit but more about the heart of Adam and Eve.
The LORD God commanded the man, saying, “From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.” – Genesis 2:16-17
But despite having everything given to him, that one thing that he should not eat, for his own good, seemed to make him feel like he was being restricted. Like God was keeping something good from him, the devil provoked. It was just a fruit. One that he would eat, taste, digest. But he traded eternal life and fellowship with God for a fruit he ate only once. How much can man love food? Wasn’t it the same food that made Esau trade his birth right and with that being the forefather of Jesus and through him a blessing to us all?
And yet, God’s yoke is easy to bear. His burden too light but we always forsake it for the heavier burden. We trade eternal life for temporarily pleasure. too often, we choose to live our lives in ways we know that will in the long run serve to harm us, but never the less we continue, to just feel one more taste of pleasure. Oh how many people would go back in time just to change their lives when they get to a point where the fruits of their lives begin to manifest in their lives. But this, we not only do to our physical and emotional life, but also in our spirit. we choose each day, to starve our spirit of the word of God, we choose death over life so we can partake in the worldly pleasures that end in this life time. Yet there is a life that is eternal. where our choices here on earth will determine if we spend it in heave or hell.
But each one is tempted when by his own evil desires he is lured away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is fully grown, it gives birth to death. – James 1:14-15
In the beginning, God gave man just one thing not to do, so that they could maintain their fellowship with him. Today, God provides just one thing to do so that we can gain back the fellowship we lost. Through one person, we all fell to seen, and by one man we can all be reconciled back to God.
For if, because of one man’s trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ. – Romans 5:17
It seemed appropriate to God that since we lost everything by one act, we might regain everything and even better by one act. Man ate the fruit that led to death. There was so much he could eat and not lose his life. But he ate the fruit of disobedience. Today, there is so much we can do to maintain our state of bondage. But there is only one way to get out of bondage and this way is by Christ Jesus. All we have to do is to believe in him. It is in this belief that we choose to re-depend on God. While at the beginning we chose to claim independence from God through disobedience, we now choose to submit our lives ti God through faith in His Son Jesus Christ.
“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life – John 5:24
